The German NFL professionals Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jakob Johnson, who were interviewed by the German Press Agency, also bet on a victory for the Eagles around quarterback Jalen Hurts in the most important football game of the year.
“My favorite is the Eagles. They’re both good teams. The Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and good running backs, but when I compare rosters, the Eagles have a better, more complete team,” said St. Brown, who is a plays the Detroit Lions. “Mahomes is a little better than Jalen Hurts, but the whole team is better with the Eagles, so they’re my favorites.”
Johnson argued a little more from the gut – and with his principles. “I can’t cheer on teams that are in my division or that you play against more often,” said Stuttgart, who was last active for the Las Vegas Raiders and therefore doesn’t want to be for the Kansas City Chiefs. But he also thinks the Eagles “are a very safe tip. They don’t have that much playoff experience behind them, but they were treated a bit disrespectfully during the season, by me too. I didn’t have them on the screen that much , because I’m not very familiar with the NFC either. But they’ve played a lot better in the last few games,” said Johnson.
Two-time Super Bowl champion Sebastian Vollmer, on the other hand, is betting on Kansas City. “I’m emotionally with Mahomes because he has the experience. Betting against Mahomes is just as dangerous as betting against Brady. If I have to commit, it’s on the Chiefs,” said the former New England Patriots pro – Vollmer played there played a crucial role as Brady’s protector in many victories.
