“He hated James Franco”: Johnny Depp is said to have been morbidly jealous because of filming

In her testimony in court, Amber Heard described Johnny Depp as pathologically jealous. He is said to have been particularly upset about her collaboration with actor James Franco.
In the defamation trial of Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard, the 36-year-old described alleged violent attacks and assaults by the Hollywood star on the witness stand. Heard also described the 58-year-old as pathologically jealous. Above all, working with actor James Franco made him angry.
Heard and Franco co-starred in the 2014 film The Adderall Diaries. In the drama, the two play a loving couple. Johnny Depp accused Heard of enjoying the love scenes with Franco and accused her of having a secret affair with his colleague, Heard said in court. “He called me a bitch. He hated James Franco.”
She reported that Depp was allegedly so upset about the filming that a violent altercation broke out on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles in May 2014. When Heard wanted to change seats during the argument on the plane, Depp is said to have thrown various objects at her and then kicked her in the back with his boots.
“I fell on the ground. And no one said anything. No one did anything. You could have heard a pin drop. All I can remember is that I was so embarrassed that he kicked me on the ground in front of everyone. And what was even more embarrassing was that I didn’t know what to do about it,” Heard said.
Johnny Depp is said to have controlled Amber Heard’s career
During his questioning on the witness stand, Johnny Depp also spoke about the altercation on the plane. However, the 58-year-old claimed that Heard started the argument and followed it until he was finally forced to lock himself in the toilet.
In addition to being extremely jealous, Depp controlled her career, Heard claimed. “Johnny wanted me to stop doing sex scenes, for kisses to be taken out of the script, for me not to look too sexy. It got worse and worse! I turned down more and more scripts, eventually only accepting conservative roles.” Finally he said to her: “You don’t have to work, child, I will support you”. But she wanted to be in front of the camera and lead an independent life.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have faced each other in a defamation lawsuit since April 12 in Fairfax, Virginia. In the coming weeks, more witnesses will be heard, but it is still unclear whether actor James Franco will testify.
