This new Amazon series moves between two classic songs, beginning with “Sweet Dreams Are Made of This”, then ending with “This is the end, beautiful friend…”, and in between a spiral of desire, hubris , manipulation, desperation, madness, betrayal: Some of them want to get used by you, some of them want to abuse you… It is based on the novel “Twins” by Bari Wood and Jack Geasland, it was published in 1988 under the title ” Dead Ringers” filmed for the cinema by David Cronenberg, German title “Die Unzertrennlichen”, now the new series was created afterwards. Conception and screenplay comes from Alice Birch, one of the most successful theater and series authors at the moment, she worked on, among others normal people and Succession.
