Amazon creates 300 new jobs on its Boves site

Before Black Friday, Amazon’s “Confession Thursday”. The e-commerce giant announced today via a press release the transformation of its distribution center in Boves, around ten kilometers southeast of Amiens (Somme). The site, inaugurated in 2017, is Amazon’s third “to be equipped with advanced robotic technologies in France, in addition to the distribution centers in Brétigny-sur-Orge (Essonne) and Augny (Moselle)”.

This project represents an investment of 110 million euros and “will create 300 permanent jobs” bringing the Amiens workforce to around 1,300 employees, details the American firm established in France for twenty-three years. The transformation of the Boves distribution center will last from the first half of 2024 to the end of 2025. “During this period, employees will continue to work in dedicated areas of the site to fulfill customer orders,” the press release indicates.
