Here we go again ! sonic the movie having harvested nearly $320 million at the international box office, the blue hedgehog is back on the screens! sonic 2 the movie is still directed by Jeff Fowler with Jim Carrey, James Marsden and Malik Bentalah (who again lends his voice to the hero in the French version).
The blue hedgehog will have to race harder than ever to prevent the ever more obnoxious Dr. Robotnik from getting his hands on an emerald that would allow him to destroy the world. “We have sought to always give more to the spectators both from the point of view of the heart and of humor and action”, explains the director in the press kit.

This one-upmanship is evident in the performance of Jim Carrey who completely lets loose as a crazy Robotnik with impressive mustaches. “I wanted to find the energy in the absurd that the fans love,” he says. I gave free rein to my fantasy as I had done for Ace Ventura, The Mask Where Dumb & Dumber. “And he is not the only one because a new hero has come to complete the distribution on the side of the bad subjects: Knuckles, aggressive ball of spines dubbed by Idris Elba in the original version.
sonic 2 parodies superhero movies with good humor by rediscovering the energy of the video games that revealed the character.
