The municipality of Gauting is selling a 130-year-old house in the center of Würmtal. Among the applicants is a group of young people who want to realize a semi-public cooperative project there – with yoga courses and children’s play groups.

An old villa with a turret and bay window on a 1,200 square meter property in the middle of Gauting, and in an exclusive location on a slope high above the town hall: such a property should be a real treat in the tight real estate market. The land and building still belong to the municipality, which wanted to improve its municipal coffers with a sale. A tender is currently open. A consulting company from Grünwald has been commissioned with this, and offers can be submitted until mid-April. A group of young people from the village came up with an unusual concept for future use: they would like to have the Villa am Krapfberg leased from the community so that they could then realize their ideas of living together in a cooperative model.
