A 65-year-old skier suffered fatal injuries in a fall in Oberstdorf, Swabia (Oberallgäu district). According to the police on Wednesday, the man was with friends in the Fellhorn ski area when he fell because of a large chunk of snow on the slope.
According to information, fog had worsened visibility during the incident on the Friday before last (January 19). The man died of his injuries on site despite attempts to resuscitate him. The Alpine task force of the Swabia South/West Police Headquarters is investigating how the accident occurred.
