Allersberg: The SA man on the street sign – Bavaria

A market town waiting months for a student’s work is not the order of the day. In the Franconian town of Allersberg, however, a town with 8,000 inhabitants in the district of Roth, many things have been unusual for some time anyway. Local politicians openly admit that they no longer shake hands. In any case, the widespread word about the ditch that runs through the place is obviously not an exaggeration. Last but not least, a planned settlement of the shipping giant Amazon has fallen out; but also via “Wilhelm-Burkhardt-Straße”, which has been in a new development area for a good two years – and is named after a man who was in the SA from May to August 1934, the paramilitary combat organization of the Nazis.
