Alldocube Iwork Gt12: Windows tablet with a clip-on keyboard imitates the Surface Pro

The Chinese manufacturer Alldocube offers Aliexpress a comparatively cheap Surface Pro alternative. According to the manufacturer, it can also be delivered to the EU. Cost: 781 euros. There is a detachable with a removable keyboard and tablet part, called Iwork Gt12. The device is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5-7520U SoC, a Zen 3 processor. It should therefore be fast enough for most tasks.

The tablet part of the detachable also has a 12.6-inch IPS panel. The resolution is 2,160 x 1,440 pixels (3:2 format). A pen digitizer for an active and pressure-sensitive input stylus and a touchscreen are installed. A permanently installed folding stand can also be used on the back. Here the manufacturer was clearly inspired by Microsoft’s Surface Pro.

16 GB RAM for most applications

In addition to the Ryzen SoC, 16 GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD are also placed. The system also integrates a 41.8 watt-hour battery. A Wi-Fi 6 module with Bluetooth 5.2 is also integrated. There are two USB-C sockets (3.2 Gen2) and one USB-A port (3.2 Gen2) on the sides of the housing. An SD card reader can also be used. In this area, the Alldocube device is superior to the Surface Pro. The device weighs a total of 915 grams and measures 288 x 199.4 x 11.1 mm.

The manufacturer includes the magnetically attached keyboard with the product – but it cannot currently be ordered because it is in stock. Customers should therefore be patient if they are interested in the Iwork Gt12.
