The Ubisoft Forward had a lot to offer about Assassin’s Creed.

With the 15th anniversary of Assassin’s Creed alone, Ubisoft had a lot to show at Ubisoft Forward. But there was also news about other games. We’ve gathered all the important announcements, updates, and trailers for you here, with a focus on the future of the Assassins. And first of all: Tuesday’s leak was correct. Ubisoft has big plans for the popular game series.

Sexism issues at Ubisoft: The French developer and publisher has been accused of a toxic corporate culture since July 2020. Including far-reaching Sexism issues, misogyny and discrimination, which should be deeply rooted in the company. Consequences have already been drawn by Ubisoft, e.g. Replaced senior management staff and openly commented on the allegations, but internally, many employees feel that these measures are not sufficient.

The newly confirmed Assassin’s Creed Mirage was presented in more detail with a trailer. We play the young Basim, who lives in Baghdad and joins the Hidden Ones (later Assassins). There he learns from his mentor Roshan over the years and eventually rises to become a master himself.

If there hadn’t been a leak, Assassin’s Creed Hexe would have been revealed out of nowhere. The game, codenamed Hexe, features the AC logo made of sticks with fire in the background in the first teaser. The name also suggests that we are dealing with the burning of witches.

More Assassin’s Creed Discontinuations

  • Assassin’s Creed Infinity: As expected, a few words were said about Project Infinity. Ubisoft called it “not a game per se” but more a personal animus that allows us to travel through time. AC Red and AC Hexe will be playable via the Art Hub platform. It is also being examined how multiplayer content can also be integrated into Infinity.
  • Netflix: The live action series from Netflix and Ubisoft is in development. Showrunner is Jeb Stuard. A mobile game will also appear on Netflix.
  • Beyond the Creed: 15 years of Assassin’s Creed are covered in this documentary, which is available now on the Ubisoft and gTV YouTube channels.
  • Against World of AC: Future products and content were briefly shown. Including books, statues, concerts and podcasts.

About the VR game Assassin’s Creed Nexus or a possible one Remake of the first Assassin’s Creed not a word was lost on the other hand.

Announcements about other games

  • Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope: There was a first look at one of the quests. We learned more about the combat system. In addition, a Rayman DLC has already been teased.
