Alizé Cornet holds a set before losing his quarter-final

The Australian Open is over for Alizé Cornet. The start of the game, however, suggested an exploit by the Frenchwoman against Danielle Collins. In this quarter-final, Cornet indeed kept pace with the 30th in the world in the 1st set. But she unfortunately ended up cracking on a second set point, leaving the American to win the first set 7-5.

The second set, on the other hand, was one-sided. Collins made the opening break and then chained the games to win the set 6-1.
