Alicia Vikander once again proves her sense of style in Cannes: her extraordinary look was the eye-catcher of the “Irma Vep” photo shoot.
Alicia Vikander (33) caused a stir with a quirky outfit at a photocall for the HBO series “Irma Vep” during the Cannes Film Festival. The 33-year-old dazzled in a white textured sleeveless dress from Louis Vuitton’s Fall Winter 2022 collection.
Whimsical outfit inspires photographers
The silhouette of Vikander’s outfits was a little reminiscent of tailcoats or frock coats from Biedermeier men’s fashion. The white, tailored dress, with a flared lap, had a single-breasted button strip on the front. The robe was decorated with black fabric threads, which merged into a dense fringed trim on the two wings hanging down at the sides.
Fashion experts already know this dress from the Louis Vuitton fashion show earlier this year at the Musée d’Orsay, which also focused on extraordinary silhouettes. Vikander is the label’s brand ambassador.
Simple styling directs the focus to the outfit
In addition, Alicia Vikander combined a simple, black suit trousers with creases and black, pointed pumps with a silver tip. Unlike the French luxury brand’s catwalk look, she deliberately focused on the upper half of her style.
The Swedish actress wore her hair elegantly in a sleek look with a middle parting. The subtle make-up with cheeks emphasized by rouge and a light rosé lipstick flattered her light summer tan.
Rare insight into her private life
In an interview with the fashion magazine “Harper’s Bazaar” the Swede gave rare insights into family life with husband Michael Fassbender (45) at the beginning of April. The couple met on the set of the 2014 film The Light Between Oceans. The two said yes in October 2017. In September 2021, Vikander confirmed to the magazine that she had become a mother.
