Alexis Pinturault crowned at home on combined

Yes, Alexis Pinturault is still alive! The French skier called him back to competition on Tuesday, in Courchevel, by becoming the 2023 combined world champion. It was the first men’s race in the competition, in the resort where he partly grew up.

Pinturault obtained his sixth planetary individual medal, his second in gold in this discipline after that gleaned in Are (Sweden) in 2019, and largely removed doubts about his level, after a complicated start to the season (a single podium, at Bever Creek).
