Interviewed by

Moritz Baumsteiger

Originally, Alexander Görlach was more concerned with the religious rich, he studied theology in Mainz, Rome and Cairo, but soon turned to the secular rich and thus to political science. After stints as a lecturer at Harvard, Görlach went to Asia as a visiting scholar, to the National Taiwan University in Taipei, the City University of Hong Kong and the Seoul National University in South Korea. He always encountered one topic: the threat posed by the neighboring People’s Republic of China.
