Alex Rodríguez and Cynthia Scurtis haven’t been a couple since 2008. On her 49th birthday, he found touching words for his ex-wife.
Alex Rodríguez (46) and Cynthia Scurtis (49) were married between 2002 and 2008. Even 13 years after the end of his marriage, the ex-baseball star apparently has a high opinion of his ex – which he made clear on Tuesday (December 28) on the occasion of her 49th birthday on social media.
“Today I’m celebrating someone very special in my life,” wrote Jennifer Lopez’s ex-fiancé (52) on Twitter and Instagram in addition to snapshots with his ex and their daughters Natasha (17) and Ella (13). Scurtis is someone “who continues to change something in my daughters’ lives every day and who has my eternal respect and admiration”.
On Instagram, “A-Rod” shared more photos that also show a new man at Scurtis’ side. He added a longer dedication to the pictures: “You have always been a wonderful mother and a role model for our two incredible daughters. You always put their needs first and helped shape them into the strong young women they have become.”

The former sports star also emphasized how easy it is to raise children together despite the divorce. It doesn’t feel like 50/50, it feels like 100/100. “I have to thank you to a large extent for that,” Rodríguez praised the 49-year-old. “To you on your special day, Cynthia. Thank you for giving me the two greatest gifts a man can get.”
