Aleksander Aamodt Kilde wins the downhill World Cup for the first time – Kriechmayr wins the season finale in Courchevel

Second behind Vincent Kriechmayr was Swiss Marco Odermatt (+0.34 seconds). Beat Feuz was 0.54 seconds behind the day’s winner.

In the end, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and Feuz were separated by only 13 points.

With his second place, Odermatt finally made his first triumph in the overall World Cup perfect. The 24-year-old is now an uncatchable 359 points ahead of Kilde with three races to go. After Carlo Janka (2010), the shooting star is the first ski racer from Switzerland to win the overall World Cup.

The best German was Dominik Schwaiger in twelfth place. However, his gap to Kriechmayr was more than two seconds (+2.10).

Romed Baumann was 16th (+2.66), Josef Ferstl finished the downhill season with a 23rd place (+3.74).
