Andreas Ammer, 61, has met many desperate people who have become addicted or who fear for an addicted relative or friend. Ammer has been working in the Caritas addiction support for eight years. Before that he worked in social psychiatry. He and his colleagues offer consultation appointments and open consultation hours on Tuesdays in Unterschleißheim. Recently, in addition to consultation appointments, there has also been an open consultation hour on Thursdays in Haar, where the dangers of illegal drugs are discussed after syringes were found in the Poststadel underground car park.
