Al-Qaeda threatens France and Sweden with attacks

This is the message that the French Ministry of the Interior did not want to receive, in the middle of the Rugby World Cup and a few months before the Olympic Games. In the latest issue of his magazine Sada al-Malahimthe branch of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) threatens to strike “a ministry” in Paris and “a Swedish embassy”, indicates Le Figaro. The French authorities would have authenticated the origin of this document, specifies the daily. AQAP, also called Ansar al-Sharia, is mainly established in Yemen.

In this magazine there is notably the image of a hooded man carrying a rifle in front of crying French police officers, on another shot. “They will not understand or heed until they hear news like ‘The Swedish embassy was razed following a violent explosion’ or ‘An armed attack on a ministry in Paris’,” threatens the article. The Interior Ministry has not yet reacted to this threat.

In May, Gérald Darmanin was worried about a “resumption” in Europe of the danger of “Islamist terrorism”. The review targets Sweden in particular, referring to the burning of Korans. “It is now clearly apparent that Sweden has chosen to take the lead in the war against Islam and Muslims among the countries of the European Union,” accuses the Al-Qaeda subsidiary, which also cites France and Denmark. “Do you think Sweden and its allies are safe from God’s punishment? Do they think that the hands of the fighters will not reach them at home, or will not touch their interests and their embassies? », scold the Islamists.
