On ZDF, the viewers are in demand on Wednesday: Rudi Cerne presents previously unexplained missing persons in “Aktenzeichen XY… Vermisst”.

In mid-June, ZDF announced new offshoots for the “Aktenzeichen XY” television series. The station will broadcast one of the special programs for the first time on Wednesday evening (June 29 from 8:15 p.m.). In “Aktenzeichen XY… Missing”, moderator Rudi Cerne (63) once again relies on the help of the viewers.

In the special program, four cases of missing persons – from Bad Lippspringe, Markt Bibart, Leipzig and Meiningen – are presented. The missing are two women and two men between the ages of 15 and 58.

It’s the first time the broadcaster has dedicated the special to missing people of all ages. Previously, this format was only for missing children and young people. The relatives and the police hope to be able to clarify the cases with the help of the viewers.

Podcast and other specials planned

In addition to “Aktenzeichen XY… Missing”, ZDF has announced two more offshoots. The podcast “Aktenzeichen XY… Unforgotten Crimes” can be heard from autumn. The 45-minute format “XY solved” will also start on August 5 at 9:15 p.m. In it, ZDF moderator Sven Voss (46) looks back on previous cases with the investigators responsible at the time, public prosecutors and experts.
