As is well known, the A380 is coming to an end at Airbus. The last machine built is due to be delivered to Emirates this month. The crew used the last test flight as an opportunity to send an emotional message.

The Airbus A380 will always be a special aircraft for aviation fans. Technically and unique in terms of its dimensions, the giant Airbus aircraft fell short of expectations economically. Not least because of this, the A380 experiment has ended less than 20 years after the first flight – the last A380 is due to be delivered to the new owner Emirates at the end of 2021.

Apparently this last Airbus built is not only a very special moment for aviation fans – but also for the developers and the crew in Hamburg. For the last test flight from Hamburg they came up with something special for their route and surprised on the radar with a huge heart that stretches from Denmark to almost Berlin and from Poland to Schwerin.

The special farewell greeting was discovered by the usually well-informed flight and radar portal Flightradar24, which tracks a large part of all flights worldwide and provides data on them. For the flight of the superjumbo, Flightradar measured a flight time of just under 4 hours and 40 minutes.
