Air traffic – Lufthansa pays back aid – Economy

Lufthansa has repaid part of the corona state aid. A silent participation of 1.5 billion euros has been completely redeemed, according to the airline. The money comes from a capital increase. “We are very grateful that Deutsche Lufthansa AG has been stabilized with tax revenues in the most difficult times,” said Lufthansa boss Carsten Spohr. More and more countries are opening their borders and the demand for air travel is growing daily. Lufthansa received 2.5 billion euros through two silent participations. The remaining billion should be repaid by the end of the year.
