Air traffic controllers, prison guards… Who has priority at the pump?

The situation is tense on the fuel front in Toulouse and Haute-Garonne. To the point that the prefect Etienne Guyot took an order on Wednesday, reserving four service stations for targeted professions, only on “defined time slots”. These are the pumps at the Leclerc centers in Saint-Orens, Rouffiac and Villemur-sur-Tarn (from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and Estancarbon (from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.).

Fire engines, law enforcement and health professionals are obviously concerned. But there are other professions of which we think less which logically fit into the priority list: air traffic controllers but also deminers and agents of the prisons of Seyssses and Muret for example.

The prefect takes the opportunity to call “for good citizenship and everyone’s responsibility” by asking “to respect the supply priorities that have been set”. He also recalls that “preventive fuel purchases are detrimental to the proper functioning of service stations”.
