It’s the kind of humor that sends chills down the spine. Sam Altman, main character of the artificial intelligence (AI) hype, referred a few years ago that his birthday is on the same day as Robert Oppenheimer. Wink, wink. The physicist Oppenheimer, as a reminder, is considered the “father of the atomic bomb”. Now Sam Altman and his company Open AI are not building weapons, but chat GPT. This AI gives human-like answers, recognizes images and has caused nervousness worldwide. Altman apparently likes the idea of having a technology that promises power like nuclear power and evokes fears as well.
