The Ukraine war calls into question the ecological, climate-friendly transformation of agriculture. Can the green minister assert himself?

There have been easier times to fight for climate-neutral, environmentally friendly agriculture in Germany and the European Union. Fewer pesticides, less fertilizer, more organic farming? The war in Ukraine and the associated supply bottlenecks call into question many of the positions taken by the new German Federal Minister, Cem Özdemir. So it’s only understandable that Berlin and Brussels pay particular attention to how the Greens are doing in this dilemma, and whether they’ll grow into a leadership role like their colleague Robert Habeck as Economics Minister.
