Stefan Mross failed at short notice on Sunday with “Always Sundays”. His wife Anna-Carina Woitschack now revealed the reason.

Since 2005, Stefan Mross (46) has moderated the music show “Always Again on Sundays” in the first. This Sunday (July 24), however, the fans were surprised: Mross was not leading the show, but Bernhard Brink (70) and Uta Bresan (57) stood in for him at short notice. The show said he was ill. The new moderator duo found out 30 minutes before the show “that we’re going to go out and be here,” explained Brink.

It was not initially clear what Stefan Mross was suffering from. However, his wife Anna-Carina Woitschack (29) has now reported in her Instagram story. “Stefan’s not well,” she revealed to the fans. A “gastrointestinal infection” put Mross “in the short term a spanner in the works”. This had “not happened in 17 years”. She also said that the infection also caught her “a few days ago”, which is why she also had to cancel an appearance.

Fans should “not worry” about Stefan Mross

“Please don’t worry, everything is fine so far,” added Woitschack. “I hope he’ll be back alive and well on stage next week.” The singer also thanked Bernhard Brink and Uta Bresan: The two would have moderated the show “really great”. “Dear Uta, dear Bernhard, thank you very much!” She addressed the duo directly.
