An exhibition of new works by artist and political activist Ai Weiwei was due to open at London’s Lisson Gallery this week. However, that didn’t happen. The gallery announced that the exhibition has been postponed. Ai, on the other hand, told the industry journal The Art Newspaper, the exhibition was canceled. The reason is a social media post by the Chinese sculptor a few days ago in which he commented on the war between Israel and Hamas.
