After the KfW application stop – FDP calls for reliable funding – economy

The FDP construction expert Daniel Föst called on the Ministry of Economics and Construction to provide reliable funding after the application freeze for energy-saving new buildings. Föst said in Berlin on Thursday that the abrupt end of the KfW new building subsidy was not a surprise. “But it’s always a disappointment – especially for the people who rescheduled after the sudden stop in January and waited weeks for funding to resume.” The fact that new funding criteria are now in effect is the opposite of planning security. According to Föst, people wanted to build according to high energy standards. “Politicians must therefore not put obstacles in the way of these people, but must support them. If we are serious about these goals, then Minister for Construction Klara Geywitz and Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck urgently need to ensure reliable funding that is open to technology.”
