The world-famous Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremberg had to be canceled for two years due to Corona. Now he’s in the mood for Christmas again. Thousands of visitors came to the opening.

After a two-year Corona break, the world-famous Christmas market in Nuremberg has begun. Thousands of visitors, big and small, came to the opening ceremony early on Friday evening to listen to the words of the Nuremberg Christkind. Actress Teresa Windschall spoke the traditional Christmas poem from the gallery of the Frauenkirche in an angelic costume with golden wings.

The Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt is one of the oldest Christmas markets in Germany. It traditionally opens on the Friday before the first Advent and lasts until Christmas Eve. In 2019 it attracted around two million guests from all over the world. According to the city, a similar number of visitors could come this year.
