After the altercation between Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pier behind the scenes of “Dancing with the Stars”, TF1 is considering the exclusion of the two candidates

If a conciliation between the two participants is not possible, the management of the front page seems to have several avenues to find the family side of the show.

On the networks, in the playgrounds and at the coffee machine… The TF1 show “Dcove with the stars” has been at the heart of attention since the end of March. And for good reason, this dance show resolutely geared towards entertainment is the scene of a violent settling of scores between two candidates: the singer Natasha St-Pier and comedian Inès Reg.

And one question burns on the lips of all viewers – and undoubtedly also fans of celebrity news: what can happen on Friday March 29 for live prime time?

Everything will be decided during the day. TF1 will find out if the two women have found common ground. You should know that they had not spoken to each other for several days; it was their lawyers who were attempting a reconciliation, or at least a truce to allow the dance competition to continue peacefully. By 8 p.m. on Friday, the question will be whether they can come to an agreement and the show will be able to resume as if nothing had happened, or the conflict will continue and there it will be necessary for the channel and the production takes a decision, which could go as far as the exclusion of the two participants. The hypothesis of a single expulsion seems excluded: it will be the two candidates or no one.

Audiences on the rise

It would obviously be a very hard blow for TF1 to have to come to this: both for the audiences and for the image of “Dance with the stars“. The show’s figures have been very good since the start of this 13th season: an average of 3.5 million viewers over the five primes, not counting catch-up. And Natasha St-Pier and Inès Reg contribute to the success: They are in the top three in the standings, each has a good chance of winning. Seeing them leave would weaken the competition. Even if this argument risks attracting people in front of the television.

And then, it would harm the “good-natured” side of the program: DALS, for connoisseurs, is entertainment, with values of kindness, elegance, solidarity between the candidates. At least, for the past week, the show is no longer really in this type of atmosphere: insults, physical threats, complaints… We don’t really know what happened between the two young women, because everyone has a different version. The two artists are engaged in a real media war, revealing elements through very long Instagram stories.

The show’s host, Camille Combal, said: “It’s no more DALS, it’s a bit like Dallas. There is a bit of rififi“, during his broadcast Camille and Images on TF1, Tuesday March 26, confirming “An altercation“.”We obviously don’t tell you anything, everyone has talked about it. So it happens, in a family, at home, it happens on TV showsUnfortunately, we try to avoid it as little as possible, it can happen sometimes, it does. This has happened in the past. There, both people gave their versions, which is the most important“, he defended. Before concluding: “The goal is that Dance with the stars becomes what it is again: entertainment. To take your mind off things, to entertain you, to put on a great show…

Version versus version

What is certain is that it all started during rehearsals on Wednesday January 31 at the Keral studios, in Malakoff, in Hauts-de-Seine. Inès Reg then went to ask Natasha St Pier to turn down the sound of her music in a neighboring room. The singer then called her “little slut”.

A joke for the singer, which, according to her, referred to the M6 game Beijing Expressin 2022, during which Valérie Trierweiler qualified Inès Reg as… “slut“. But the comedian took it badly and Natasha St Pier apologized.

Press releases, more or less sincere apologies, stories on Instagram, messages… The two stars exchange blow for blow, without the viewer knowing who is telling the truth, nor how things degenerated. Still, the Canadian, as well as her dance partner Anthony Colettefiled a handrail for reporting threats from Inès Reg and her entourage. Which the latter denies.
