5:20 p.m.: The key figures of this extraordinary trial
Never has a trial lasted so long since the Second World War. Qualified as historic, the trial will have lasted 149 days – instead of 140 days because of postponements linked to the coronavirus epidemic –, and will have brought together 1,800 civil parties, more than 330 lawyers and twenty accused – 11 in pre-trial detention, 3 placed under judicial supervision and 6 targeted by an arrest warrant.
In total, 141 media – 83 French media and 58 foreign media – including 20 minutes, covered the ten months of hearings. At the start of the trial, our three journalists from the justice section had detailed the conditions of this extraordinary trial.
