When questioned, neighbors stated that they had seen airgun shots in the days before. On Friday evening, several residents reported the shots in a backyard in western Nuremberg, triggering a larger police operation. Police officers on site also heard gunshots. The police asked on Twitter to avoid the area and drive around it over a large area. There were no injuries from the shots.
