After Saint-Ouen and Strasbourg, the metropolis is experimenting with menstrual leave

After the cities of Saint-Ouen, Abbeville and Strasbourg, the metropolis of Lyon announced this Monday that it would in turn experiment with “menstrual leave” allowing employees suffering from painful periods to benefit from several days of rest per month.

This system, the details of which must be presented to the press on Friday, will be launched on October 1, specifies the community in a press release, claiming to be the “first French metropolis” to do so. It will also launch “natural termination of pregnancy leave” on the same date.
