US President Joe Biden has pledged continued support to Ukraine in the face of massive Russian airstrikes – including more modern air defense systems. Biden assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a telephone call that he would continue to provide Ukraine with the support that the country needed for its defense, the White House said.
When it comes to armament deliveries, air defense is currently the top priority, Zelenskyj also emphasized. The US should also show leadership in taking a tough stance in the Group of Seven major industrialized countries (G7) and in supporting a UN General Assembly condemnation of Russia, the Ukrainian leader tweeted after the talks.
