After refusing to comply, police find weapons and ammunition

A motorist and his passenger were placed in custody on September 4 in Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), after refusing to comply, report the department’s police services, on their Facebook page. That evening, municipal police officers came across a vehicle traveling at high speed. Despite their orders, the driver is suspected of having fled. He was arrested a little further away.

During the vehicle check, municipal police discovered a bag containing a handgun, ammunition and 5,000 euros in cash. During a search carried out by national police officers at the home of a relative of one of the suspects, several other weapons and ammunition were found. The two thirty-year-olds are being prosecuted for refusal to comply, unauthorized possession of a category B weapon and money laundering.
