On June 24, fighters of the Wagner army tried to rebel against the leadership in Russia. That went wrong. What are they doing now?

Three weeks after the short After the rebellion of the Wagner army against the Russian military leadership, British estimates indicate that the activities of the mercenary troop increased again. After the mutiny on June 24, a period of confusion and negotiations began for the Russian security apparatus, the Ministry of Defense said in London. In the past few days, a transitional arrangement on the future of the group has slowly taken shape.

Since Saturday, “at least a small contingent” of Wagner fighters has arrived at a camp in Belarus, the British wrote in their daily update on Twitter.

At the same time, some Wagner-related groups have resumed their activity on social media. The focus is on highlighting the group’s activities in Africa. “Based on recent announcements by Russian officials, the state is likely willing to accept Wagner’s aspirations in order to maintain its extensive presence on the continent.”

The British Ministry of Defense has published daily information on the course of the war since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, citing intelligence information. Moscow accuses London of a disinformation campaign.
