More than six months after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, who had not wished to extend it, Aminata Diallo has found a club. This Monday, the Levante club (Spain), second in the championship behind the untouchable FC Barcelona, announced the signing of the French international until the end of the season, plus another option. Aminata Diallo thus finds La Liga, since she had already evolved at Atlético de Madrid in 2021.
Suspected of being the sponsor of the attack on her ex-teammate at PSG Kheira Hamraoui, which occurred in November 2021, the 27-year-old player, prosecuted for “aggravated violence” and “criminal association”, has always denied any involvement in this case. Incarcerated for five days after his indictment, Diallo was released from detention on September 21 and is subject to judicial supervision.
Left free by PSG after the attack
The hypothesis of a sporting rivalry between the two women, who evolve in the same position, had been mentioned. A version denied by Aminata Diallo. “I was not barred by Kheira Hamraoui as we try to say,” she said on RMC Sport in mid-October. According to her, the sports management and the coach at the time Didier Ollé-Nicolle were “very satisfied with my work and my performance” and were in favor, before the attack, of “an extension of two seasons”.
“There is no element which shows that at this time, it is in my interest to do that, quite the contrary”, she repeated. Following this case, Aminata Diallo had not been extended by the Parisian club, which had therefore left him free in June 2022.
