A man ran across the tram tracks when the light was red – with fatal consequences: the tram had to brake emergency and several passengers fell. An 85-year-old had to undergo surgery, complications arose and the woman died. The Munich police searched for the person who caused the accident with search calls and posters at the scene of the accident on Schleißheimer Strasse. And she found what she was looking for. A 56-year-old from Munich was identified and has now confessed.
In the accident involving a line 27 tram on January 2nd at the corner of Herzogstrasse, a total of five people were injured and three had to be taken to hospital. The person who caused the accident simply moved on. Witness statements now put the police on the trail of the suspect. The man is now being investigated for negligent bodily harm resulting in death and unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident.
