During a concert by the US megastar in the Brazilian metropolis, a young woman collapses and dies. Swift appears shocked. Brazil is currently suffering from an extreme heat wave.

Brazil is currently suffering from a heat wave. The temperature was 42.5 degrees in Rio on Saturday afternoon. A 23-year-old fan collapsed at Taylor Swift’s concert on Friday at the Nilton Santos Stadium, the news portal G1 reported. The young woman was taken to a hospital and died.
According to the city health department, the student suffered cardiac arrest. Now the forensic institute is supposed to determine the exact cause of death. Fans had previously complained that they were prevented from bringing water bottles into the stadium despite the high temperatures. Swift even briefly interrupted her performance to ask her team to provide some fans with water, as the news portal G1 reported. After the incident, the Ministry of Justice ordered that in view of the extreme heat, concertgoers would be allowed to bring water bottles into the stadium in the future.
Swift was shocked by her fan’s death. “I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but it breaks my heart to say we lost a fan before my show tonight,” the musician wrote on Instagram. “I can’t express how shocked I am about this.”
