  • In an interview with the BBC, Emmanuel Macron “urged Israel to stop” the bombing of civilians in Gaza. “De facto, today, civilians are being bombed. These babies, these ladies, these elderly people are bombed and killed. There is therefore no reason and no legitimacy for this,” underlined the head of state.
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded on X that “responsibility for any harm done to civilians lies with Hamas”, who uses civilians as “human shields”. “We must not forget that Israel entered the war because of the brutal murder of hundreds of Israelis,” underlined the Prime Minister, adding that “World leaders should condemn Hamas-IS, not Israel.”
