After Bayern transfer
Hernández starts in Paris in top form: “100 percent fit”
Lucas Hernández suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in the second half of the Bundesliga season. The Frenchman gives an update on his health following his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Hernández tore his cruciate ligament at the World Cup in Qatar and hasn’t played a game since. “I’m looking forward to the first day of training and to being at my best with my team-mates. My knee is fine and everything is going very well,” said the France international.
Both clubs had previously made the long-awaited transfer official. “I came here to learn, but also and above all to win trophies. As many as I can,” said Hernández. After stints at Atlético Madrid and FC Bayern, the 2018 world champion is now playing in his home country.
In Paris, Hernández is looking forward to seeing his national team-mates Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappé again. “They are friends to me. I spoke to them a lot before coming here. I’m very happy to join them and become their team-mate at club level,” said the centre-back.
