The “United Tribuns” group, which belongs to the rocker milieu, is now banned. The members are accused of human trafficking and attempted homicide. The group’s offices have been searched since morning.

The Federal Ministry of the Interior has banned the “United Tribuns” group, which is attributed to the rocker milieu. Raids on the group’s branches in nine federal states have been underway since the morning.

According to Interior Minister Nancy Faser, the group is responsible for sex crimes, human trafficking and attempted homicide. The members of the group are said to have committed a “variety of crimes, some of which were very serious”, mostly in connection with violent clashes within the rocker scene, for example as a result of the rivalries with the “Hells Angels”.

“Rocker crime is characterized by great brutality,” said Faeser. Conflicts in this milieu always endangered completely uninvolved people. Club bans are “a sharp sword that we use in precisely these cases,” said the SPD politician.

About 100 members nationwide

Therefore, according to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, both the entire association and 13 associated sub-organizations, so-called chapters, will be dissolved. Nationwide, the United Tribunes are said to have around 100 members. The assets of the association are to be confiscated.

The group’s ban was coordinated with the states in which the United Tribunes were represented. These include Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia. In these federal states, raids on objects attributed to the group have been going on since the morning hours.

One of Germany’s most powerful rocker groups

According to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the United Tribunes were founded in 2004 by a former Bosnian boxer in Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg. Together with other people from the bouncer, rocker and red-light milieu, he opened two brothels. Alongside the rocker-like Black Jackets group, the United Tribunes have risen to become one of the most powerful groups in Germany with the most members.
