After a week of strike, the Collectif Ultras Paris is already resuming its activities

From Wednesday evening, they will be at the Coubertin stadium to encourage the handball players of PSG against the Germans of Kiel in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) has announced the resumption of its activities in the stands after “advances” with the management of the Parisian club, again met at the start of the week to dissipate tensions.

The CUP therefore put an end to its protest movement, exactly one week after renouncing its presence in the stands, at home and outside, for all sections of the club. These supporters should also travel to Auxerre on Sunday (8:45 p.m.) for the club’s possible eleventh coronation in Ligue 1 (a record), after having dried up PSG’s previous meeting against Ajaccio (5-0) at home.

A problem of tickets

In a press release, the CUP was satisfied to have won its case with the management on various subjects which generated tensions between the two parties. “Building on these advances, we hope that all PSG lovers can rejoice in the historic title that is looming for our club,” it says. The ultras notably demanded the redesign of the official Ticketplace ticket resale site, deemed too expensive, and a return to the historic Hechter jersey.

“We are able to confirm that the Hechter shirt will be back for the 24-25 season, and its return on a permanent basis is in the pipeline, we are continuing to work on it,” said the group of supporters. The promised “modifications” of the “Ticketplace” platform for the Auteuil bend, where the CUP is installed, “will make it possible to perpetuate a popular forum, accessible to Parisian fans”, they also claim.

The disputes between the club’s management and the CUP have been exacerbated by the cancellation of tickets reserved for ultras for the trip to Troyes on May 7, a collective punishment after a demonstration led by supporters outside Neymar’s home and in front of the PSG headquarters in Boulogne-Billancourt.

PSG evokes “a very constructive dialogue”

For its part, PSG reacted by a press release published at the beginning of the evening “Paris Saint-Germain constantly strives to bring together all the communities of the Club, while hoisting the institution of the Club above all”. “This includes, since the beginning of the year and recently, engaging in a very constructive dialogue with supporters to discuss ways to improve the fan experience, both inside and outside the stadiums”, continues the Parisian club.

“PSG believes that the supporters are the foundation of the club, supporting them in good times and in bad times,” he continues. “We look forward to taking these ideas forward in collaboration with fans in the period ahead. »
