After an accident on her fifth appearance in Hanover, pop star Helene Fischer is doing better again. The concert had to be stopped after the bloody trapeze incident.

“Please don’t worry about me. I’m fine. I was well taken care of,” wrote Helene Fischer in a statement that the concert organizer Live Nation issued on Monday evening. “I wanted to go straight out to you, but then I had to realize: The wound was too deep to continue,” said the singer. She was later “sewn fantastically in the hospital” and no fracture or anything else was found.

Big thanks to the medical team and paramedics

In the statement, Fischer thanked the medical team, her own team “for the sensational first aid” and the paramedics. “I take off my hat to you, you angels without wings”. She hardly closed an eye on Monday night: “My heart was heavy from yesterday – from this abrupt end of the show,” Fischer continued.

Helene Fischer was treated in the hospital after the accident

According to the organizer, Helene Fischer was treated in a hospital in Hanover. She was able to leave this afterwards. Video recordings on social media show that the accident happened during a trapeze act. When trying to change position while hovering over the ground, the 38-year-old apparently caught her face on the trapeze beam and injured her face. After the accident, blood ran onto her costume from a wound above her nose. Despite the injury, Helene Fischer finished the song, but then disappeared backstage.

Accident at the fifth concert in Hanover

Helene Fischer is known for her acrobatics – including on the trapeze. According to Live Nation, the singer broke a rib during acrobatic rehearsals in March. After that, several performances had to be postponed. According to the organizer, the concert on Sunday evening in Hanover was the 42nd of the current tour. The show in the ZAG Arena was also the fifth within six days in the Lower Saxony state capital. The tour is now scheduled to pause until the end of August, when Fischer is supposed to perform in Cologne. The concert in Hanover will not be rescheduled, the ticket fees will be refunded.
