Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko (51) and his wife Natalia (48) are getting divorced!
Vitali Klitschko to BILD: “We filed for divorce together because we’ve been living apart for years and want to make it official now. We have a very good relationship and respect each other, but we’ve been living separately in different cities for a long time.”
At a show, the Ukrainian ex-model met the boxer and today’s mayor of Kyiv and married him in 1996. The couple have three children together, Yegor, Elizabeth and Maxim. In addition to her great commitment to charitable and social projects, the daughter of two musicians is a passionate singer.
A personal highlight: In 2014, Natalia Klitschko sang the Ukrainian anthem during a boxing match between her brother-in-law Wladimir (45) and Alex Leapai (42).
The ex-model has been living in Hamburg for a long time. While Vitali stayed in Ukraine as mayor of Kyiv, Natalia looked after refugees from home in the Hanseatic city. Most recently, she collected donations for the Klitschko Foundation’s “We are all Ukrainians 2022” campaign.
She still thinks about her soon-to-be ex-husband every day. “My day begins when I write to everyone I love and know and I’m very happy to get answers and know: Yes, they are alive,” she said in March on the ARD program “We help – Together for Ukraine“.
Vitali writes to her every morning that he is fine. That he keeps fighting.
