  • The radical Islamic Taliban made public statements at a press conference in Kabul for the first time since they came to power.
  • A second Bundeswehr aircraft flew from Kabul airport with 125 people to Tashkent. Two more flights are planned for this Tuesday.
  • From Tashkent, people are to be brought to Germany on Lufthansa flights.
  • For the time being, the Federal Republic no longer pays any development aid to Afghanistan.
