All the criticism and all the accusations haven’t had much effect on Maximilian Krah so far. Dubious contacts with Russia, suspected fraud in the European Parliament, large sums of cash when entering the USA – the AfD’s leading candidate for the European elections had some explanation for all of this, or the allegations could not be substantiated. Even when his assistant Jian G. was arrested at the end of April on suspicion of espionage, Krah fired him and continued campaigning after a good week’s break. The AfD newcomer has shown Teflon qualities so far.
