AfD federal politicians visited terror suspect Birgit Malsack-Winkemann in custody
AfD politician Birgit Malsack-Winkemann is said to be part of the Reich Citizens’ Group around Henry XIII. Prince Reuss helped plan the overthrow of the federal government

The ex-MP has been in custody since December 2022 as a suspected part of the Reichsbürger group around Prince Reuss. Not all AfD party friends seem to be bothered by this.
Former AfD member of the Bundestag Birgit Malsack-Winkemann was in contact with federal politicians from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) even after her arrest on suspicion of terrorism. According to research from star and RTL, three members of the party’s current parliamentary group have a permanent permit to visit Malsack-Winkemann in Berlin’s Lichtenberg Correctional Facility: Gereon Bollmann, Jürgen Pohl and Steffen Kotré.
The Federal Prosecutor General recently charged Birgit Malsack-Winkemann with membership in a terrorist organization. As part of the Reich Citizens’ Group around Henry XIII. Prince Reuss is said to have helped plan the overthrow of the federal government. He also brought charges against 26 other defendants. Malsack-Winkemann has been in custody since December 7, 2022.
According to confidential documents, AfD MP Gereon Bollmann has had a permanent visit permit for Malsack-Winkemann since February 2, 2023. In a letter to the Federal Prosecutor General, he said he wanted to visit the terror suspect about once a month. Bollmann is president of the AfD’s Federal Arbitration Court. When asked, Bollmann only said that the AfD party leadership was not informed about contact with the detainee.
Permanent visit permit for Malsack-Winkemann: Pohl responded to questions with a counter question
According to the research, the AfD MP and energy policy spokesman, Steffen Kotré, has also had a permanent permit for prison visits to Malsack-Winkemann since June 1, 2023, and his party colleague Jürgen Pohl since August 24, 2023. Kotré sent a request from star and RTL unanswered. Pohl, who is considered a close confidant of the Thuringian AfD state chairman Björn Höcke, replied in an email: “After a year in custody, wouldn’t you also be happy if a third party visited you?”
