AfD politician Halemba should be expelled from the party – Bavaria

The Bavarian AfD politician Daniel Halemba is threatened with expulsion from the party. The federal executive board is calling on the Bavarian state executive board to initiate such an exclusion procedure, said a press spokesman for the party South German newspaper on Tuesday morning. On Monday evening, the AfD federal executive board discussed how to proceed in the Halemba case.

The Würzburg public prosecutor’s office is investigating the 22-year-old on suspicion of incitement to hatred and the use of symbols of unconstitutional and terrorist organizations. Various Nazi memorabilia items were found during searches in the house of the Würzburg fraternity Teutonia Prague, to which Halemba belongs. The Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution is now monitoring the fraternity.

Shortly before the inaugural session of the Bavarian state parliament at the end of October, an arrest warrant was issued against Halemba because of the risk of escape and concealment. The arrest warrant was suspended under certain conditions.
