It was a remarkable speech that Ingo Hahn gave on March 19, 2020 after Markus Söder’s first Corona government statement. The then AfD parliamentary group leader said, “Times of national and international emergency are not the times when the opposition should use their strength to attack the government”. It is “not the time to hesitate”, that teaches the infection situation in Italy. He offers Söder “comprehensive help”. Two months later, co-parliamentary group leader Katrin Ebner-Steiner replied to the second government statement: The measures and the “undermining of our Basic Law” must be completely reversed. Corona is “increasingly degenerating into a show competition for the candidate for chancellor”.
