In one of her new songs, Adele processed a conversation with her son. In it, she explains to the now nine-year-old why she would like to separate from his papa.

It is probably one of the most touching moments in Adele’s new album “30”. In the song “My Little Love”, the exceptional artist addresses her divorce and what effect it has on her son Angelo.

Adele declares the divorce for her son

In the song she incorporated a recording of herself and the now nine-year-old, in which she talks to him about the subject of separation. “Mommy has had a lot of big feelings lately,” she says to it. “I feel a little confused.” The little one asks her why that is, to which Adele replies that she “has the feeling that I don’t really know what I’m doing”. “Oh, not at all?” Asks the boy, who speaks clearly with a British accent, although Adele also lives in Los Angeles and spends most of her time there.

“Not at all,” Adele imitates her child’s voice. A little later in the song, she explains her dilemma to him. “I love your father because he gave you to me. You are half me and half daddy,” she says of her ex-husband Simon Konecki.

How much she takes the decision to part with her son’s father is also clear in the lyrics. “I know you feel lost / it’s completely my fault,” she sings about Angelo’s feelings. And in the second verse, “I don’t know myself in the cold of daylight / So I’m not surprised that you see through all of my lies / I feel so bad to be here when I’m so guilty / I’m ready gone and you’re the only one who can save me. “

In an interview with Zane Lowe from Apple Music, the artist revealed that her son had noticed that his mother was not doing well. “And he took up the courage to tell me very clearly, ‘You’re basically a ghost. You might as well not be here,'” she recalled.
